While we make your transfer from overseas flexible, Citibank also provides you convenient options to transfer money from your NRI Savings Account in India. Choose an option that is most convenient to you.
Repatriation
Right for you if:
- You want to transfer funds from your Non-Resident Ordinary Account (Rupee Checking Account or Term Deposit) to your bank account overseas in foreign currency or to your Non-Resident External Account (Rupee Checking Account or Term Deposit) in Indian rupees
Please Note:
- As per current Reserve Bank of India guidelines, you can repatriate only up to USD 1 MM per financial year (April-March) per account holder
- All repatriation requests are subject to documentation requirements as per the guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India
Funds Transfers
Right for you if:
- You have a Rupee Checking Account and want to transfer funds electronically from your Non-Resident External Rupee Checking Account to a bank account overseas
- You want the convenience of transferring funds at any time of the day or night from the comfort of your home or office
Please Note:
- Citibank does not charge any fees for outgoing funds transfers from your Citibank Rupee Checking Account. However, your local bank may charge a fee for receiving funds into your account
- A nominal fee of USD 35 will be charged for transfers from your Non-Resident External and Foreign Currency Non-Resident Deposits
- It normally takes 2-3 business days for the funds to be credited to your account overseas
Debit Card
Right for you if:
- You want to withdraw cash from your Non-Resident External Rupee Checking Account in local currency at any Citibank or Mastercard® ATM overseas
Please Note:
- The bank that operates the ATM may charge a Fee for using their ATM
- The bank that operates the ATM will convert the funds in your Non-Resident External Rupee Checking Account to local currency at a foreign exchange rate as determined by them.
