Banking:
Salary Credit Alert | This alert is sent every time a Salary Credit happens to your Banking Account. |
Inward Remittance | This alert is sent every time an inward remittance occurs into your account. |
Outward Remittance | This alert is sent every time you transfer funds outside your account. |

Credit Cards:
Payment Due Date Alert | This alert is sent to you 2 days before your Payment Due Date. It informs you of your Total Amount Due and Minimum Amount Due. |
Mini Statement Alert | You will receive this alert every time a statement is generated. It will communicate your Total Amount Due, Minimum Amount Due and Payment Due Date. |
Payment Confirmation Alert | You will receive this alert when Citibank receives your Credit Card Payment. |
Payment Bounce Alert | You will receive this alert if the Credit Card Payment is dishonoured. |

Ready Cash:
Loan Disbursal Alert | This alert is sent to customers when the Ready Cash Loan Instrument has been disbursed. |
EMI Due Date Alert | Customers will receive this alert on the 25th of every month informing them of the Payment Due Date for the subsequent EMI. |
Payment Confirmation Alert | This alert is sent when Citibank receives the EMI Payment. |
Payment Bounce Alert | Customers receive this alert if the EMI Payment is dishonoured. |
Contact Details Updation Alert | This is sent to all CitiAlert registered customers every 3 months reminding them to update their latest E-mail ID, Mobile Number and Postal Address against their Ready Cash Account. |
Loan Closure Alert | Customers receive this alert when they close the Citibank Ready Cash Loan. |

Account Balance | This alert is sent to customers on a fortnightly basis and will communicate the Rupee Checking Account Balance. |
Cheque Status | This alert is triggered by a Cheque Debit/Credit into the Rupee Checking Account. |
A Cheque Bounce | This alert is triggered by an Inward/Outward Cheque Bounce pertaining to the Rupee Checking Account. |
Mortgages:
Loan Booking Alert | Customers receive this alert when a Home Loan is booked. |
Loan Disbursal Alert | Customers receive this alert post generation of Disbursal Instrument. |
EMI Due Date | Customers receive this alert on the 23rd of every month informing them of the Payment Due Date for the subsequent EMI. |
EMI Payment Confirmation | This alert is sent when Citibank receives the EMI Payment. |
E-mail Updation Alert | Customers receive this alert every time their E-mail ID is updated against their Home Loan/Mortgage Account. |
Mobile Updation Alert | Customers receive this alert every time their Mobile Number is updated against their Home Loan/Mortgage Account. |
Address Updation Alert | Customers receive this alert every time their Postal Address is updated against their Home Loan/Mortgage Account. |
Interest Rate Revision Alert | This alert is sent when customers' interest rate changes. |
Only customers with a valid E-mail ID and Mobile Number updated in the system are eligible to receive CitiAlert. To update your E-mail ID and Mobile Number, login to www.citibank.com/india with your IPIN and register for alerts that are important for you.
Some of the alerts that you can register for are:
Cheque Status Alert - This alert is sent when a Cheque Debit/Credit happens into the Savings/Current Account.
Investment Alerts - You can register for Investment subscription/Redemption and Portfolio value alerts, which are sent to you as and when the above events occur.
CitiAlert is an Internet-based notification system that you can use to keep up-to-date with your account information. You can receive these alerts as an SMS or as E-mail. You can control the frequency of these messages. You can choose to receive these messages:
- Periodically, such as, once week or once a day
- As an event occurs. You can choose to receive a reminder messages for bill payment or status of any account activity.
You would need to register for the service, which is a one-time process. You can now set alerts for your account, choosing their content periodically. You can subscribe or unsubscribe for any alert anytime.
You can use any on the following channels to register for CitiAlert:
- Citibank Online
- 24-Hr. CitiPhone Priority Service Numbers
- Physical form submission
- Citibank Online registration process:
- Log on to Citibank Online
- Select the option to 'Register for CitiAlert' present under the 'Customer Service'. After completing the registration process, you can go to your personalized alerts page, 'My Alert', where all the alerts that you have registered for are listed.
CitiPhone registration process:
- Call 24-Hr. CitiPhone Priority Service Numbers
- Use your TPIN to begin the registration process for CitiAlert. The CitiPhone Officer would record your requests for particular alerts and set up your profile as per your instructions.
Registration by Physical form submission:
- Visit any Citibank branch or an ATM and pick up a CitiAlert registration form
- Fill it out indicating the alerts you would like to receive and send it to the indicated address
- Once your registration has been updated on our systems, an IPIN (Internet Password) will be sent to you, which you can use to manage your alerts.
Yes, you can access this service through any mobile phone.
It simply means that the event for which you have set up the alert has taken place and the CitiAlert for the same has been generated to be sent out to you as SMS or E-mail, as indicated by you. Some of the triggers are processed in a batch mode and hence you may be sent the message after a certain time lag. For the first instance the alert will be sent to you as and when the event is triggered. Subsequently it will be sent based on the frequency you have selected.
In case of SMS alerts, you will receive a text message which you will able to view like any other message. In case of E-mail alert, you will be able to see the sent alert whenever you login to your E-mail account.
You can select the frequency for certain alerts. You can decide to receive these messages:
Periodically
- Once a day - message is sent only once a day regardless of the number of times the alert is triggered in a day
- Once a week - message is sent only once a week regardless of the number of times the alert is triggered in a week
- Once a month - message is sent only once a month regardless of the number of times the alert is triggered in a month.

For certain Alerts you will be alerted every time a particular event occurs, e.g., salary being credited.

Most cellular operators in India do not charge customers for receiving messages (terminating on the handset) on the mobile phone. Please check with your cellular operator for more information.
