You can initiate funds transfer online to a person with any bank account in the country, with the click of a button. It’s free, quick and hassle-free. You can login to either Citibank Online or your Citi Mobile app and initiate your transfer via any of the following channels:
Before you can perform a UPI Transaction for the first time using your Citibank Savings or Current Account, you need to enroll your Citi Account to the UPI eco-system by creating a Virtual/UPI ID linked to this Account:

Once you’ve set up UPI on the Citi Mobile App, you can send money to a virtual ID or to a registered account number:
Note: The daily transaction limit is up to INR 1 lac/account (subset of IMPS limit of INR 2 lacs). You can instantly transfer credit to the Beneficiary Account. There are no limits on incoming transactions.

Note: To receive funds, you need to share you Citibank Account number and IFS Code with the remitter. They can then use it to transfer funds via IMPS. There are no limits on incoming transactions. You can instantly transfer credit to the Beneficiary Account.
If you are making a fund transfer for the first time, you will be required to register the beneficiary/payee.
Step 1: Login to Citibank Online and go to ‘Payments & Transfer’ section, under ‘Banking > Transfer Funds’ or in the sidebar on the Citi Mobile app.
Step 2: Provide details of the destination account number, city and the amount to transfer. Additionally, provide details of the beneficiary bank, branch and location or alternatively provide the IFSC code, to identify the destination branch.
Please note that the daily transaction limit for transferring funds to a new payee is INR 50,000 for the first 24 hours.
Step 3: Citibank will send you a one-time use six digit OTP (One Time Password) to your registered mobile number. Use this OTP to authorise your payee registration and complete the transaction. Alternatively, you can make a payment to an already registered payee by selecting the beneficiary account and choosing NEFT/RTGS as the mode of payment.
Note: For any transfer, whether within or outside Citibank, you can also register a Standing Instruction for making the transfers at regular intervals automatically.
