‘Private Car Package Policy’ is brought to you by Citibank through Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company Limited. This is a comprehensive policy which gives 360o protection to your car. It covers the damage to the vehicle and any third party coverages like bodily injury/death & property damage. Benefits of emergency assistance and lightning fast cashless settlement along with end to end automated support allows you to be back on road in the shortest time.

Features and Benefits

Insurer will cover the accidental loss or damage to your car caused by any of the following:

Fire, explosion, self-ignition or lightning; Burglary housebreaking or theft; Riot and strike; Earthquake (fire and shock damage); Flood, typhoon, hurricane, storm, tempest, inundation, cyclone, hailstorm, frost; Accidental external means; Malicious act; Terrorist activity; Whilst in transit by road, rail, inland waterway, lift, elevator or air; Landslide/rockslide.

Coverage for third-party damage to lives or property in the event of an unfortunate accident.

Personal Accident cover for Owner Driver of the vehicle.

  • 24X7 Spot Assistance: Assistance/support in the event of the Insured Vehicle is immobilized due to listed contingencies.
  • Depreciation shield: The insurer will cover the depreciation amount on the damaged parts allowed for replacement during repairs in the event of a Partial Loss to the Insured Vehicle.
  • Keys and locks Replacement: If the keys of the insured vehicle are irrecoverably lost, then the insurer will indemnify the cost of replacement of keys of the Insured vehicle, subject to the specified Sum Insured. At the same time, if a security risk arises out of the incidence of lost keys of the insured vehicle, the insurer will also cover the cost of installing new locks in the insured vehicle.
  • Personal Baggage Cover: Covers loss or damage to baggage kept in the insured vehicle due to the perils covered.
  • Engine Protector: The insurer will cover the consequential damage to the internal child parts of the engine and/or gear box of the Insured Vehicle arising out of water ingression and/or leakage of lubricating oil.
  • Accident Shield Cover: Personal accident coverage in case of an accident for occupants of the insured car other than paid driver, attendants or cleaner.
  • Consumable Expenses: Covers expenses incurred on consumable items such as nuts, bolts, spares etc. as part of repair of the vehicle damaged under an insured peril which is not covered under the basic package policy.
  • Conveyance Benefit: If the Insured Vehicle is in a workshop following an accidental damage, the insurer will pay a per day cash benefit for a maximum duration as mentioned in the policy schedule.

You can chose from any of the tenure options:

  • 1 year Own Damage + 1 year Third Party Liability Cover (Private Car Package Policy – Not Available for newly registered Private Car / yet to be registered private car).
  • 1 year Own Damage + 3 year Third Party Liability Cover (Private Car Policy – Bundled).
  • 3 year Own Damage + 3 year Third Party Liability Cover (Private Car Package Policy – 3 Years).
  • Any accidental loss or damage and/or liability caused sustained or incurred outside the Geographical area
  • Any claim arising out of any contractual liability
  • Any accidental loss damage and/or liability caused sustained or incurred whilst the vehicle insured herein:

    • is outside ‘Limitations as to Use’,
    • being driven by or is for the purpose of being driven by him/her in the charge of any person other than a Driver as stated in the Driver's Clause.
    • any accidental loss or damage to any property whatsoever or any loss or expense whatsoever resulting or arising there from
    • any consequential loss
    • any liability of whatsoever nature directly or indirectly caused by or contributed to by or arising from ionising radiations
    • contamination by radioactivity from any nuclear fuel or from any nuclear waste from the combustion of nuclear fuel
    • any accidental loss or damage or liability directly or indirectly caused by or contributed to by or arising from nuclear weapons material
    • any accidental loss damage and/or liability directly or indirectly or proximately or remotely occasioned by contributed to by or traceable to or arising out of or in connection with war, invasion, the act of foreign enemies, hostilities or warlike operations

SECTION 41 OF THE INSURANCE ACT 1938 PROHIBITION OF REBATES
  1. No person shall allow or offer to allow, either directly or indirectly, as an inducement to any person to take out or renew or continue an Insurance in respect of any kind of risk relating to lives or property in India, any rebate of the whole or part of the commission payable or any rebate of the premium shown on the policy nor shall any person taking out or renewing or continuing a Policy accept any rebate, except such rebate as may be allowed in accordance with the published prospectus or tables of the Insurer.
  2. Any person making default in complying with the provisions of this section shall be liable for penalty which may extend to ten lakh rupees.
